I agree with you as a teacher of pre-school children it it great to use different things for art and creative expression. My children and I were out on a walk oneday, we found a big tree branch and created a giraffe. We used yellow paint to paint the branch, brown paint and the children's fingerprints for the spots. A paper plate for the head and face and black fringed paper for eyelashes.
